Rogério Bandeira is a Technology and Systems Information invited Assistant at Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (ESHTE), and an Human Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher and PhD candidate in Computers at the University of Lisbon.

Rogério Bandeira was recognized by the Scientific Council of ESHTE, as a Specialist, special quality and relevance of curriculum, in the scientific area of Technical and Application Technologies (TTA), in July 2014.

Apart from teaching Technology and Information Systems at ESHTE, Rogério Bandeira also has a PhD studentship from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) and currently works on "Multimodal Games integrating Tangible Artefacts for Seniors" at the University of Lisbon. His PhD dissertation title in Portuguese and acronym are "Jogos Multimodais integrando Artefactos Tangíveis para Séniores" - "JMAT 4S".

Outside the scope of his PhD research, he was involved on the ACCESSIBLE European project "http://www.accessible-eu.org/", mainly on the Mobile Web Accessibility Assessment research and tools design, working for Fundação da Faculdade de Ciências de Lisboa (FFCUL).

Before joining FFCUL, Rogério Bandeira worked for more than twenty years in the Information and Communications Industry (ICT) on major national and international companies such as INESC, Novabase and IBM, as a software engineer, consultant, project manager, consulting principal and manager.

Rogério Bandeira has a MsC degree in Informatics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, an M.B.A in International Management from the Catholic Lisbon School of Business and Economics, and a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computers from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon.

My PhD research focuses on establishing a set of models, recommendations and components to support ubiquitous multimodal adaptive serious games design creation and evaluation, targeting senior user needs.
