Summary
The goals of the DiTaBBu project are the creation, manipulation and configuration of books contents, providing a workbench for the production of digital talking books. This project is part of the IPSOM project, developed by Rui Lopes as a post-graduation project.
DiTaBBu provides processing components for 4 different stages: structure reorganization, output format specification, user interaction specification, and presentation specification.

Plan
- Study of related work, technical recommendations and standards regarding Digital Talking Books and user interface generation tools;
- Definition and implementation of navigation structure, presentation, synchronization, and main content interaction specification and generation modules, with emphasis on HTML+TIME output;
- Support structures (indexes, annotations, marks, etc.) specification and generation modules, and its integration with main content;
- Definition and implementation of several modules for different output formats (SMIL and DTB), and evaluation towards flexibility and modularity of the generated DTBs
